Coming Soon: Night of Museums
This year Night of Museums takes place from May 16 to May 18. A number of events will be hosted in Yerevan and regional museums. An exhibition titled “100-years-old embroidered memory” will be opened in Yerevan State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan on May 16. National Museum-Institute of Architecture will feature the works by Italian architect of Armenia descent Levon Kyureghyan. Architect’s grandson Armen Kyureghyan has donated his grandfather’s works to the museum. Stepan Zoryan’s House Museum in Vanadzor is planning an event with poetry, dances, songs and exhibition of handmade works. Paruyr Sevak’s House-Museum in Zangakatun village is going to place on a screen in the alley and display photos and texts related to Armenian Genocide. Lectures on the idea of equality and sustainability revealed in Paruyr Sevak’s poem “The Unsilenceable Belfry” and dedicated to 50th anniversary of Sevak’s “Triple Voiced Liturgy” poem will take place. More than 111 museums are involved in the project this year.
