A week ago American-based singer Sona Karamyan announced her new song “Dark Cloud” dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The song is produced by A. Chilla (Narek Hovsepyan). Sona devoted her new song to the innocent victims of Genocide, including her ancestors, who also suffered the massacres. Sona Karamyan is fairly popular singer and actress in the United States. Music is her greatest passion. She studied music at California State University. Sona has been creating since childhood. With this new song she announces her comeback to music world, this time not as Siana Kay but Sona. She says this is a return to the Armenian roots. Sona’s family has a relation to composer Aram Khachatryan. Indeed, Sona’s art is far from classical music, but Armenian music has always been playing at their home.
