“Towards life-time freedom”- the book of life imprisoned Mher Yenokyan
Mher Yenokyan has been in prison for already 19 years. He was imprisoned at the age of 20 being a third year student of Medical University. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for killing his friend. Mher doesn’t admit he’s guilty, and struggles by writing. Not receiving any assistance from the state bodies, Mher twice tried to escape from prison together with his prison-friend Soghomon Kocharyan. Now Mher creates, he paints, does translations: even in imprisonment he lives an active social life, he’s a distant student of Russian-Armenian Slavonic University, he’s the correspondent for newspaper “Trace”.
