Ruben Babayna, director of Yerevan State Puppet Theatre named after Hovhannes Tumanyan, is excited about the modern generation and sure that the newly forming young society is trying to become the owner of this country and take responsibility for their actions. However, to win the battle they need to work out the way. Mr. Babayan stresses, it is time to give up the moralizing speeches addressed to the authorities. Participants of yesterday’s movement repeatedly noted that the citizens demand to revoke the decision on raising the electricity tariff. The citizens don’t want to discuss this issue.
“As far as people apply such measures, it means evidently they are left alone and don’t see any other way out,” actress Lala Mnatsakanyan says.
Mr. Babayan and Mrs. Mnatsakanyan believe that we need highly qualified lawyers, specialists who will deal with this issue moving it into a legal ground. Mr. Babayan states, there are numerous documents, materials and facts proving that the raise of electricity tariff is unjustified and there are people who are guilty for this. We need to find those responsible, apply the facts and punish them according to the law, no matter they are citizens of Armenia or other states.
